A. ScatterTunes™ is a website and an application that provides a creative approach to purchasing and managing music. We have designed our ScatterTunes™ iBoard^® to easily provide you with the most information available for each and every song. Q. What is an iBoard^®?
A. An iBoard^® is a personal communication tool developed by iBoard^®, Inc. and used by various companies, such as MTVNetworks, Ameriprise Financial, and Cablevision, as a means of private communication with their customers. The ScatterTunes™ iBoard^® is designed to provide a personal communication experience between you and ScatterTunes™ and the music that you love.

Q. Why do I have to install the ScatterTunes™ iBoard^® on my system?
A. Because the ScatterTunes™ experience occurs as a direct communication between you and the ScatterTunes™ Store, the ScatterTunes™ iBoard^® application needs to be installed on your computer to facilitate the private communication channel between your computer and the ScatterTunes™ Store. The ScatterTunes™ Store is not a website. It is part of a secure application installed on your computer that protects your personal information within your own ScatterTunes™ iBoard^®.

Q. How much does it cost to install the ScatterTunes™ iBoard^®?
A. The ScatterTunes™ iBoard^® application is a free download. There is no cost to download and install the iBoard^® application. In fact, if you choose to simply install the ScatterTunes™ iBoard^® as a tool for managing your music library, there will be no charge for you to use the application.

Q. What are the system requirements for the ScatterTunes™ iBoard^®?
A. The ScatterTunes™ iBoard^® is supported on both the Windows and Mac platforms. We recommend the following minimum system configurations:

• Windows:
  • Intel^® Pentium^® III 1GHz or faster processor
  • Windows XP with Service Pack 2; Windows XP Tablet PC Edition; or Windows Vista^® Home Premium, Business, Ultimate, or Enterprise including 64 bit editions; Microsoft^® Windows^® 2000 with Service Pack 4; Windows 2003 Server
  • 512MB of RAM

Q. Why did the iBoard^® install Adobe AIR on my computer?
A. Adobe AIR is a software platform for developing cross-platform Rich Media desktop applications. The ScatterTunes™ iBoard^® runs on the Adobe AIR platform and therefore requires Adobe AIR to be installed as a prerequisite.

Q. How much does music on ScatterTunes™ cost?
A. Music in the ScatterTunes™ Store is competitively priced. While some record labels vary the prices of their music offered via ScatterTunes™, you will find that most individual tracks are purchased for $.99 and most albums are around the $10 range.

Q. How can I buy music from ScatterTunes™?
A. In order to purchase music from the ScatterTunes™ Store, you MUST have downloaded and installed the ScatterTunes™ iBoard^®. Once you have created a ScatterTunes™ Account, simply click on the ScatterTunes™ Store menu tab and start searching for your favorite music. Once you have found the song or album you're looking for, purchasing is only a click away! The ScatterTunes™ Store accepts most major credit cards.

Q. Can I play my existing music in the ScatterTunes™ iBoard^®?
A. Absolutely. One of the great things about the ScatterTunes™ iBoard^®; is the capability to import your existing MP3 music files into the "My Music" section of the site and use the iBoard^® as your music manager. The ScatterTunes™ iBoard^® also gives you the capability to create playlists of your favorite songs, as well as build a wish list of future songs or albums that you want to purchase.

Q. What music format does the ScatterTunes™ iBoard^® use?
A. The ScatterTunes™ iBoard^® only plays DRM-free mp3 music files. Any music that does not have Digital Rights Management (DRM) restrictions can be imported and played in the ScatterTunes™ iBoard^® Media Player.

Q. Can I play ScatterTunes™ music on my iPod or other MP3 player?
A. Yes. Since all music purchased and played in the ScatterTunes™ iBoard^® is DRM-Free, all music can be exported to any portable device. You simply use the music export tool that came with your portable device to synchronize your ScatterTunes™ music from your computer to the portable device.

If you use iTunes to export your MP3 music to a portable device, you can use the iTunes Auto-Import feature in the ScatterTunes™ iBoard^® when purchasing music from ScatterTunes™. Simply check the "Automatically import MP3s into iTunes Music Library" option when confirming each MP3 purchase in the ScatterTunes™ Store. Your MP3s will automatically be imported into iTunes immediately after purchase and download is complete.

Q. What's a V-Album?
A. A V-Album is a new innovation in online music. The ScatterTunes™ V-Album allows you to purchase a collection of songs that can be played and synced with your portable device, but can also be viewed as an interactive experience within the ScatterTunes™ V-Album iBoard^®. This immersive experience combines an electronic collection of music, lyrics, videos, and photos from a particular artist or band, a motion picture, or a celebrity's playlist of favorite songs.  In addition, the V-Album provides access to artist merchandise, concert tickets, and live performance broadcasts.

Q. Do I need a ScatterTunes™ account to use the ScatterTunes™ iBoard^® player?
A. Yes, you do need to create an account in order to run the ScatterTunes™ iBoard^®. However, providing your billing information is completely optional until you decide to make your first purchase from the ScatterTunes™ Store.

A. Yes, the ScatterTunes™ iBoard^® is based on the Adobe AIR technology and is compatible with the Mac platform (see system requirements listed above).
